About the BIBH

The Buteyko Institute of Breathing and Health (BIBH) was established in 1996 and is the professional organisation representing the Buteyko Method and Buteyko Practitioners throughout the world. Professor Buteyko agreed to become patron of the BIBH at the First International Buteyko Conference in New Zealand in December 2000. The BIBH has over 100 members in 14 countries and endorses practitioner members to teach the Buteyko Institute Method (BIM) to clients. The BIM is regulated by standards, codes and guidelines and practitioners undergo ongoing training, assessment and professional development.
